Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to authority contained in the Waters of The State, Ports, And Watercraft Code (Official Code of Georgia Annotated, Title 52; O.C.G.A. §§  52-7-3, 52-7-8.3, 52-7-23, and 52-7-26), the Board of Natural Resources proposes to amend the Rules of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Boating Regulations, Chapter 391-4-5.

The proposed changes to Chapter 391-4-5 reflect the need to allow for an exemption from age restrictions on vessel operation for sanctioned motor vessel races, while they are operating a vessel within the area approved for the race as a participant in the race, list specific boater education rental certificate provisions, indicate the procedure for providing proof of successful rental course completion and establish requirements for violators.
