Alligator Harvest Summary for 2005

Statewide Summary

There were 502 alligator hunters selected for the 2005 alligator quota hunt from 3466 applicants. Ninety-three percent (93%) of selected alligator hunters were Georgia residents.  Thirty-one percent (31%) of alligator hunters were successful in harvesting an alligator.  Seventy-two percent (72%) of harvested alligators were male.

• Zone 2 - Baker, Decatur, Grady, Miller, Mitchell & Seminole Cos. (Q=70)
• Zone 3 - Crisp, Dooly, Dougherty, Lee, Macon, Schley, Sumter & Worth Cos. (Q=35)
• Zone 4 - Berrien, Brooks, Colquitt, Cook, Irwin, Lanier, Lowndes, Thomas, Tift & Turner Cos. (Q=60)
• Zone 5 - Ben Hill, Bleckley, Coffee, Dodge, Jeff Davis, Laurens, Montgomery, Pulaski, Telfair, Treutlen, Wheeler & Wilcox Cos. (Q=35)
• Zone 6 - Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Clinch, Pierce & Ware Cos. (Q=80)
