DOWNLOAD a Lifetime Sportsman's License application and mail or hand-deliver it to a Wildlife Resources Division office. The Lifetime Sportsman's License is not available online because of strict residency and age documentation requirement.  Credit card transactions may not be available at every WRD office, please call local office to verify.

 Definitions:

1. For purposes of this license, "Resident" is defined as continuous domicile within Georgia for a minimum of 12 consecutive months immediately prior to procurring this license.
2. Acceptable Georgia Income Tax Return forms:
   • Complete and signed Georgia form 500 or 500EZ.
   • Electronically submitted Georgia form 500    AND   GA-8453 form with Declaration Control Number
3. Acceptable Vehicle registration forms: Non-expired and signed registration for a motorized vehicle, that has the same address listed as your ID.  A trailer registration is NOT accepted.

Supporting Document Requirements:

Applications must be accompanied by the following (NO EXCEPTIONS): 

Infant (under 2 years of age):  $200

• Certified Copy of child's birth certificate, which references parents names AND
• Copy of parent(s) picture ID (choose one) : Current GA driver's license, Georgia ID card (issued by Department of Driver Services) AND
• Copy of parent(s) proof of residency (choose one): Current Georgia automobile registration, voter registration card, previous year's Georgia Form 500 Income Tax Return (NOT a W-2), warranty deed to property at the same address as is displayed on the Georgia Drivers License or Georgia ID AND
• Copy of hunter education card: required if obtained and < 16 years of age

 Youth (age 2-15):  $350

• Certified Copy of child's birth certificate, which references parents names AND
• Copy of parent(s) picture ID (choose one): Current GA driver's license, Georgia ID card (issued by Department of Driver Services) AND
• Copy of parent(s) proof of residency (choose one): Current Georgia automobile registration, voter registration card, previous year's Georgia Form 500 Income Tax Return (NOT a W-2), Warranty Deed to property at the same address as is displayed on the Georgia Drivers license or Georgia ID AND
• Copy of hunter education card: required if obtained and < 16 years of age

Adult:  $500

• Copy of picture ID (choose one): Current GA driver's license, Georgia ID card (issued by Department of Driver Services) AND
• Copy of proof of residency (choose one): Current Georgia automobile registration, voter registration card, previous year's Georgia Form 500 Income Tax Return (NOT a W-2), Warranty Deed to property at the same address as is displayed on the Georgia Drivers license or Georgia ID AND
• Copy of hunter education card: required if ages 16 thru 25; only number required if age 26 or older (card copy not required) and born on/after 1-1-61. For ages 16-17, refer to the Infant & Youth supporting document requirements, except Hunter Ed.

Sr. Discount (age 60 to 64):  $95

• Copy of picture ID (choose one) : Current GA driver's license, Georgia ID card (issued by Department of Driver Services) AND
• Copy of proof of residency (choose one): Current Georgia automobile registration, voter registration card, previous year's Georgia Form 500 Income Tax Return (NOT a W-2), Warranty Deed to property at the same address as is displayed on the Georgia Drivers license or Georgia ID

Senior (65 and over):  $10

• Copy of picture ID (choose one): Current GA driver's license, Georgia ID card (issued by Department of Driver Services) AND
• Copy of proof of residency (choose one): Current Georgia automobile registration, voter registration card, previous year's Georgia Form 500 Income Tax Return (NOT a W-2), Warranty Deed to property at the same address as is displayed on the Georgia Drivers license or Georgia ID

Veterans:  $400

• Copy of  picture ID (choose one) : Current GA driver's license, Georgia ID card (issued by Department of Driver Services) AND
• Copy of proof of residency (choose one): Current Georgia automobile registration, voter registration card, previous year's Georgia Form 500 Income Tax Return (NOT a W-2), Warranty Deed to property at the same address as is displayed on the Georgia Drivers license or Georgia ID AND
• Copy of DD 214: providing satisfactory evidence that applicant served more than 90 days of federal active duty military service and was honorably discharged, click here to access DD Form 214 AND
• Copy of hunter education card: required if ages 16 thru 25; only number required if age 26 or older (card copy not required) and born on/after 1-1-61

Non-Resident Grandchild:  $1000

• Copy of Grandchild’s Birth Certificate AND
• Non-Resident Grandchild: Notarized Certification of relationship of Lifetime License holder and Grandchild AND
• Copy of Grandparents Picture ID (choose one) : Current GA Drivers License, Georgia ID Card (issued by Department of Driver Services), AND
• Copy of grandparent(s) proof of residency (choose one): Current automobile registration, voter registration card, previous year's Georgia Form 500 Income Tax Return (NOT a W-2), Warranty Deed to property at the same address as is displayed on the Georgia Drivers license or Georgia ID.

Lifetime License Holder Deer Harvest Record

There is no charge for a lifetime license holder to get their deer harvest record.  One just has to log into their DNR Customer Account and access the correct form to print. 

Correct form for lifetime license holders: Lifetime license holders should choose to print a resident deer harvest record (260) instead of the lifetime deer harvest record (264).  Reason: the lifetime deer harvest record will sometimes fail to print and the process has to be started over.  The resident deer harvest record will meet the lifetime license holder's legal obligation to have a deer harvest record.
