  • Commercial Shooting Preserves

The sport of bobwhite hunting in Georgia is strongly promoted through a vibrant and productive commercial shooting preserves industry. In fact, there are roughly 150 commercial preserves in the state that use pen-reared birds to annually provide bobwhite shooting to many thousands of residents and non-residents. These preserves have a huge economic and environmental impact in Georgia. Collectively, they provide thousands of acres of open space that are maintained in sound environmental condition and benefit many wildlife species– in essence it is a green industry. Additionally, they help maintain interest in bobwhite hunting and bird dogs and expose many youth and adults to the sport who would not otherwise have the opportunity.
