The kids are out of school and all the gifts have been opened. What do you do now? Luckily, the Go Fish Education Center is open special holiday hours on Dec. 26 and 27 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Go Fish is also offering a holiday fishing treat: Trout from the Go Fish hatchery have been stocked in the center’s fishing pond and are ready to be caught! Hybrid bass, catfish and bluegill are also available.
All fishing is catch and release, and anglers 16 and older must have a fishing license. Licenses can be purchased online at http://georgiawildlife.com/licenses-permits-passes, by phone at 1.800.366.2661 or at the Go Fish Education Center. Rods, tackle and bait will be provided. All you need to do is catch fish!
Also remember to join Go Fish for Camp Little Minnow on Friday, Jan. 4, and the first Friday of every month from 10 a.m. - noon. Designed for pre-schoolers, this mom and tots program includes crafts, live animal demonstrations, story time and a tour of the center. Regular admission prices apply.
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors 65 and older, $3 for children and FREE for ages 2 and younger.
