Acorn Production for 2002
Overall, acorn production was good this year, with red oaks
leading the way and good white oak production in certain areas.
Acorn production was up somewhat over last year and significantly
over two years ago. Acorn production can be quite variable
from year to year with crops varying from several hundred pounds
per acre during an excellent year to almost no production in a poor
year.
