ACE (Adventures in Conservation Education) Overnight Camp
(Middle School Students) $100
ACE is a workshop for middle school students focused on wildlife conservation. Participants will spend five days immersed in Georgia wildlife via hands-on activities and day trips including birding in Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge, canoeing in Bond Swamp, mist netting bats at Oconee National Forest, and exploring bogs at Ohoopee Dunes. Also, spend time assisting in a live trap census program, learning to shoot shotguns, hiking to a rock outcrop and studying streams with fisheries biologists.
Thanks to a grant from The Environmental Resources Network, the cost of the program is only $100 per person which covers all room and board and program fees.
The workshop will be July 22-26, 2013. For more information on how to apply, please check our website at or contact Rusty or Amber at 770-784-3059.
