This program offers a chance to learn the fundamentals of canoeing, paddling, safety, rescue, and gear. Bring a lunch, sunscreen, and water to drink. CEWC will provide canoes, paddles and life vests. Program begins in the classroom and moves out onto the open water. Come prepared to get wet.
From I-20 east take Exit 98 (GA Hwy. 11, Monroe-Monticello). Head south on Hwy. 11 for approximately 12 miles. Marben Farm Rd. marks the north entrance to CEWC and allows access to the Visitor Center, BADA, Conference Center, Fishing, Hiking , and shooting ranges. Continue down Hwy. 11 to access the CEWC south entrance at Shepherd Rd.
